Brief Statuses Explained
What each status badge means and what to do when a brief gets stuck.
| Status | Meaning | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Running | The pipeline is actively working through the stages. | Wait — typical run time is 2–5 minutes. |
| Pick product | The catalog was pulled but the pipeline is waiting for you to select a product. | Click the brief to open the product picker. |
| Ready | All sections complete. Brief is ready to read or deploy. | Open to read, push to Meta Ads CSV, sync to Notion, or download the PDF. |
| Failed | An unrecoverable error occurred. The brief data is incomplete. | Check the error message. Failed briefs don't count against your monthly cap. |
Common causes of failure
- Store isn't on Shopify
- Store has a very small or hidden catalog
- Market reading timed out due to an obscure niche with little online discussion
Why does "Pick product" show after I already picked one?
This can happen if you closed the tab before the selection was confirmed server-side. Click the brief — the pipeline resumes and your previous selection may already be pre-filled.
